If you are insulating walls you have 2 good options Silver Beads or Slow pour Injection Spray Foam. The main difference is the spray foam is airtight warmer and more expensive.
If you are insulating an Attic Rolls of wool are not the best as the levels are normally wrong and then timbers are everywhere. There are warmer and denser materials available like Spray Foam and Cellulose that also have better ratings for sound fire and heat.
